The interaction between Jianghuai's sacred book Tang Confessions and the 100-chapter version of Journey to the West——Taking Dream of Killing the Jinghe Dragon as an example
Because Journey to the West contained in the Tang Confessions in Jianghuai's sacred book has a certain similarity in plot and structure to the 100-chapter version of Journey to the West, the sacred book has been highly regarded by the academic community since its discovery in 1980s.However,there have al-ways been different opinions on the relationship between the two.It is generally believed that the two have a one-way influence, that is,the 100-chapter version of Journey to the West has influenced and even modi-fied the stories of the sacred book with its powerful charm. This article attempts to take the Dream of Jinghe Dragon(Dragon Killing Story)in Tang Repentance as the starting point from the two perspec-tives of the psychological mechanism and structural composition of the formation and development of this story. The same title contained in the period is used as a reference to demonstrate that although the Divine Book and the 100-chapter Journey to the West are two sets of Journey to the West stories originating from different communication systems, the two did interact in the early stages of the story's formation, and there are traces of mutual influence.
