Influence of Irradiation Sterilization on Chemical Components in Scutellaria
Objective:Using high performance liquid chromatography to determine the baicalin contents in medicinal Scutellaria Scutellaria powder and herbs with the irradiation sterilization and compare changes of baicalin.Methods:Accurasil-C18 (250 mm × 4.6 mm,5 μ m) was used by methanol:water:phosphoric acid (47 ∶ 53 ∶ 0.2) as mobile phase. The detection wavelength was 280 nm and the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min.The column temperature was 30 ℃ and the injection volume was 10 μL.The chromatographic conditions had a linear gradient elution. Results:Baicalin in the range of 0.163 2~0.816 0 μ g had a good linear relationship and the average recovery rate was 99.53% and the RSD was 0.81%.Before and after sterilization, the baicalin in Radix significant changed obvously. Conclusion:The irradiation sterilization is nor suitable for medicinal Scutellaria.
