Research Progress of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome by Regulating Intestinal Flora
Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is one of the most common endocrine disease in women.Its clinical manifestations,such as insulin resistance,hyperandrogenism and infertility,seriously affect women's psychological and life.But its pathogenesis is not clear,in recent years,the development of macro-genomics and other technologies,it has been found that the gut microbiome can participate in the pathogengsis of PCOS by altering intestinal permeability,immune inflammatory response,metabolism,and gut-brain axis.Therefore,polycystic ovary syndrome can be treated by regulating the intestinal flora.However,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has obvious curative effect on PCOS.A large number of studies have proved that TCM can improve intestinal barrier and reduce inflammatory injury by regulating the structure of intestinal flora,treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome by enhancing intestinal mucosal immunity.This article summarizes the changes of intestinal microflora in patients with PCOS in recent years,to participate in the study on the pathogenesis of PCOS and the treatment of PCOS by modulating intestinal microflora with Chinese herbal compounds and monomers,so as to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of PCOS and the use of Chinese medicine.
