Huotanmu(Herba Polygoni Chinensislor)has a long history of medication in Guangxi and Guangdong,with rich medicinal resources,and is used as a ethnic drug in Zhuang and Yao.Based on the relevant literature published at home and abroad,this paper reviews the chemical constituents and modern pharmacological effects of Huotanmu(Herba Polygoni Chinensislor).The results show that the chemical constituents reported in Huotanmu(Herba Polygoni Chinensislor)are complex and diverse.Through high performance liquid chromatography,ultraviolet spectrophotometry,infrared spectrophotometry,electrospray mass spectrometry,nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum,carbon spectrum and other identification methods,206 compounds in Huotanmu(Herba Polygoni Chinensislor)were identified,including 43 flavonoids such as apigenin and quercetin,53 phenolic acids such as ellagic acid and gallic acid,87 volatile oils such as 3-vinylcyclooctene and terpinene,and 23 other kinds.Modern pharmacological effects have anti-inflammatory,antibacterial,antioxidant,analgesic,antiviral,antipyretic,anti-tumor,anti-diarrhea and other effects.In addition,the study found that the main medicinal activity is the extract of Huotanmu(Herba Polygoni Chinensislor).There are few studies on the activity of monomer compounds in Huotanmu(Herba Polygoni Chinensislor),and the pharmacodynamic material basis and mechanism of action are not clear enough.It can be seen that the in-depth and systematic study of the effective substances in the medicinal materials and their pharmacological effects and mechanism of action will provide clearer evidence for the development of the resources and clinical medication of the Huotanmu(Herba Polygoni Chinensislor).
