Ability Cultivation and Course Content Reconstruction in Public Speaking——Taking"Business Comprehensive English"as an Example
Based on the cultivation of key abilities in the college foreign language curriculum objectives proposed by Professor Wen Qiufang,we carried out the content reconstruction design of the"Business Comprehensive English"speech segment.Through vivid and concise task design cases in the speech section,with the cultivation of different key abilities as the starting point,the reconstruction of course content as the basis,and the assistance of teacher-student scaffolding,comprehensive survey questionnaires,semi-structured in-terviews,reflection logs,and classroom observations were used.The research results showed that students'comprehensive business a-bilities were improved,and"Business Comprehensive English"achieved good teaching effects.
