Research on Modern Application Design of Chinese Traditional Patterns
Pattern can be understood as a symbol,with a certain symbolic and unique.After thousands of years,China's traditional patterns have experienced political,economic and cultural changes in different periods,and there are still a large number of patterns handed down to the present.Therefore,Chinese traditional pattern is a visual symbol with historical heritage and Chinese localization.Under the influence of modern design thinking,it is necessary to find new ideas for development in inheritance,dig deep the history and meaning behind symbols,and apply traditional patterns to modern design.This paper takes Dunhuang algae pattern as an example,analyzes its characteristics and connotation,and discusses the application ways and methods of traditional Chinese patterns,in order to broaden the design ideas and methods of innovative application of traditional patterns.
