Preparation of Waste Paper Fiber/Starch Buffer Packaging Materials by Yeast Foaming
In order to alleviate the environmental pollution caused by foam,a starch based foam buffer material with good performance, easy preparation and more green environmental protection has been developed. The paper fiber/starch foam packaging material was prepared by hot pressing process using yeast as foaming agent. The effects of metabolic conditions on yeast gas production and the amount of yeast on cushioning properties and microstructure of the material were discussed. When glucose concentration was 3.0%,foaming temperature was 33℃and foaming for 3h,yeast had higher gas production and better gas holding capacity.FTIR revealed that no chemical reactions took place between the substrate substances and that the main composition and structure of the yeast remained intact. When the yeast dosage was 3.0 g,the comprehensive performance of the sample was the best, the cell distribution was more uniform, and the structure was better. The amount of yeast has a certain regulation effect on the structure of the material, and then affects its mechanical properties.
