This paper takes AI graphics production course as an example to deeply discuss the teaching reform practice of digital media art design major.As the basic course of this major,AI Graphics Production course is dedicated to cultivating students'ability to use Adobe Illustrator software to make vector graphics.In the teaching process,the course is based on regional culture,closely combined with market demand,to train high-quality talents who can meet the needs of packaging design,illustration design,UI design and other primary positions.This paper analyzes the current teaching situation of digital media art and design major,and puts forward targeted teaching reform strategies to improve students'practical ability and employment competitiveness.
