Optimization of nitrogen modified atmosphere process based on exhaust circulation application
Nitrogen Modified Atmosphere Storage(NMAS)had shown promising results in controlling grain pests and delaying changes in grain quality.To further reduce the cost of NMAS and enhance the efficiency of grain storage,thus achieving the goal of reducing the cost of NMAS and saving energy consumption,this study selected two large square warehouses from Sinograin Sanming Depot Co.,Ltd.as experimental units.During the NMAS process,the exhaust gas discharged was introduced into the space outside the gas bag inside the warehouse to slow down the decay rate of nitrogen gas inside the gas bag.Experimental results indicated that this technique shortened the time required for the nitrogen gas concentration in the warehouse to 98%and maintained a better and longer-lasting effect,meeting the requirements of cost reduction and energy conservation.The exploration of the application scheme for utilizing exhaust gas from nitrogen gas treatment provided valuable experience for future efforts to reduce the cost of NMAS and promote its widespread adoption.
