Effect of particle size on determination of cadmium content in wheat(flour)by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry
In order to explore the effect of grain size of wheat(powder)samples on the determination of cadmium content in wheat(flour)by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, two naturally positive wheat samples with different gradients of cadmium content,Different grain sizes of wheat flour with mesh sizes of 0.20,0.25,0.50,1.00 and 1.50 mm were crushed, and the cadmium content of wheat(flour)in 5 grain states and raw grains was measured. The re-sults indicated that the particle size of the sample has a significant influence on the stability of the test results.Dif-ferent X-ray fluorescence spectrometers were used to detect cadmium content in wheat(flour). It was suggested to select wheat flour with mesh size less than 0.50 mm as the test sample, and the determination results had good stability and precision.
