Research Progress on the Functional Activities of Penthorum chinense Pursh
Penthorum chinense Pursh(PCP)was included in the new resource food in 2020,and has a long history of folk consumption.This paper discusses the chemical components and their medicinal effects,and analyzes the current situation of the products sold in the market,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the development of healthy food.According to the databases of CNKI,PubMed and Google scholar,the main components are flavonoids(glycoside),triterpenes(glycoside),steroids,volatile oil,which have pharmacological activities of anti-liver fibrosis and liver protection,and have potential medicinal value such as liver protection,anti-inflammation and blood glucose lowering,among which the liver protection is the most attention.At present,there are market products such as PCP tea and PCP collapse tablets,but we need to pay attention to the research of flavor.PCP has broad development prospects in the development and application of healthy food.
