Evaluation of Uncertainty in the Determination of L-carnitine Content in Infant Formula by Liquid Chromatography-mass Spectrometry
This article introduces an uncertainty evaluation method for the determination of L-carnitine content in infant formula using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC-MS)isotope internal standard method.By evaluating the uncertainty brought in by sample weighing, dilution volume, and concentration, the relative standard uncertainty and extended uncertainty of L-carnitine content in the sample are finally obtained. The results indicate that the uncertainty of L-carnitine concentration in infant formula mainly comes from the determination of the standard curve. Therefore, during the experiment, relevant personnel should strictly control the experimental conditions to ensure the accuracy of the standard curve.
