As a traditional architecture structural form, arched structures have been widely used in engineering fields, such as architecture and bridge construction. The traditional double-layer roof panel arched structure adopts a pre-tensioned prestressed double-layer panel form:the lower layer is a flat panel that bears tensile force, while the upper layer is an arched panel that bears compressive force. However, due to limitations in the pre-tensioning construction method and prestressed tendons, the span is somewhat restricted, preventing the achievement of larger spans.Based on the traditional double-layer arched roof panel, this article explores a design scheme for a larger-span arched beam roof by combining higher-strength prestressed steel bars, concrete, and post-tensioning construction methods.
