Study on the Enhancing Effect of Compound Protein Powder on Immune Function in Mice
Objective:A mouse immune function test was used to evaluate whether whey protein powder,low-dose and high-dose compound protein powders(composed of whey protein powder, soy protein isolate and bovine colostrum)have the enhancing effect of compound protein powder on immune function in Mice.Method:A total of 200 SPF grade Kunming mice were allocated randomly into four groups, including a control group,a group receiving whey protein powder,a low-dose group receiving compound protein powder, and a high-dose group receiving compound protein powder.By administering a mouse immune function assessment test, the efficacy of various substances was evaluated.Result:Whey protein powder(600 mg·kg-1 bw·d-1),low-dose compound protein powder(900 mg·kg-1 bw·d-1)and high-dose compound protein powder(2 700 g·kg-1 bw·d-1)had an impressive effect on enhancing mice's immunity compared to the control group;with the latter having a greater impact than the former. Conclusion:The compound protein powder has a more potent effect on enhancing mice's immunity than whey protein powder.
