A method for determination of bronopol residue in foods by high performance liquid chromatography was established. The samples were extracted by ethanol, filtered by 0.22 μm organic filter membrane, separated by Agilent ZORBAX Eclipse XDB-C18 column, and detected by high-performance liquid chromatography.Under the optimized experimental conditions, there was a good linear relationship in the range of 0.02~10.00 μg·mL-1 with correlation coefficient greater than 0.999 9.The recoveries on the sample at 3 levels of addition were 96.3%~106.0%,with the relative standard deviations of 3.2%~5.8%.With the advantages of easy and rapid operation, accuracy and high sensitivity, the method was be applied to the determination of bronopol residues in grains, fruits and vegetables.
