The Results and Analysis of Testing of Enterococcus faecalis in Mineral Water
In order to improve the laboratory's ability to detect Enterococcus faecalis in mineral water, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test data, the national standard method was used to count the suspected bacteria, and three methods of identification were compared:traditional microbiological identification, automatic microbiological identification, and matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry.Experimental results showed that all three methods successfully identified Enterococcus faecalis, with Z-values of-0.5 and-0.1 for samples 23-A864 and 23-N843,respectively,meeting the requirements. The three methods are mutually verified, and the MALDI-TOF MS has the advantages of short time and high efficiency.
