Analysis and Discussion on Proficiency Testing Results and Crucial Links for Coliforms in Milk Powder
Objective:To verify the quantitative determination ability of the coliform bacteria and the reliability of data results in our laboratory.Method:The coliform bacteria in milk powder NIFDC-PD-435 was quantitatively determined by method of plate counting in national standard and coliform test tablet.Result:The results of this proficiency test were reported according to the national standard method specified in the operation instructions,and coliforms colony count of sample TF0039 was reported as 13 000 CFU·g-1 with a Z value+0.456 while sample TF0040 was reported as 4 800 CFU·g-1 with a Z value 0.000.The testing results of both samples were satisfactory.Conclusion:The simultaneous verification of the two methods can improve the detection level of the inspectors and the credibility of the test results.
