As an important concept about the relationship between Chinese herbal medicine and food,homology of medicine and food has shown diverse expressions and practices in different cultures and medical traditions.From a cultural perspective,this study explores the theoretical basis and practice of the homology of medicine and food in traditional Chinese medicine and global ethnopharmacy,as well as the influence of different cultural backgrounds on this concept.
