The Complementary of the Entity Teaching Model and the Network Teaching Model in the Higher Education
Since the 1990s,the wide application of IT in higher education has triggered a discussion on the relationship be-tween the entity teaching model and the network teaching model.According to the current research and its actual application,this study classifies the relationships of the two models into exclusion,complementation and substitution with the theoretical deduction and the field investigation.Furthermore,this study analyzes their existing premises with such six elements as the curriculum needs,the model's advantages and disadvantages,facilities,application acquisition,the teaching habits and the selection preferences.It is concluded that its exclusion relationship is temporary,its substitution relationship is long-term,and its complementary relationship is an essential reality.At last,the practical measures based on the concept of complementation is proposed.
