From the Southern Song Dynasty to the Republic of China,the evolution of the concept of"Su-Xin"has gone through four stages.In the Southern Song Dynasty,Su Shi and Xin Qiji were mentioned together because of the similarity in Ci's styles.In the Yuan and Ming Dynasties,they were formally mentioned together due to the careful understanding of them.In the Qing Dynasty,Su Shi and Xin Qiji's achievements in Ci had been highly recognized and fruitful research results had been made.Until the Republic of China,scholars focused on the same source and different streams of Su Shi and Xin Qiji,and the theory of Ci school replaced the theory of"Su-Xin".In the latter period,new changes emerged on the basis of the ideas of the previous generation,and there were abundant and diverse views within each stage.The connotation of"Su-Xin"and the emphases of Ci's interpretation kept shifting,which was the comprehensive result of the development of Ci itself and the influence of the environ-ment of the times.
