Research on the Political Characteristics of Royal Marriages in the Ming Dynasty
The Ming Dynasty lasted 276 years from the founding year of 1368(i.e.The Hongwu Period)to the falling year of 1644(i.e.the 17th year of The Chongzhen Period),with 16 emperors and 17 periods.By studying the marriages especially the royal ones in the dynasty,researchers can observe the development of the dynasty from a completely different perspective.Accord-ing to the research,the royal marriages in the Ming Dynasty are of different characteristics from the periods of Hongwu to Yongle,Hongxi to Xuande,and Zhengtong to Chongzhen respectively,and the changes in identity of partners involved in the royal mar-riages are closely related to current politics,military affairs and society
