An Empirical Study on the Factors Influencing the Participation of Persons with Disabilities in Sports and Physical Education
Participation in sports by people with disabilities is a weak link in the development of the national fitness program.To further explore the factors affecting the participation of people with disabilities in sports,questionnaire surveys and mathematical statistics methods were used to collect and analyze the data.It was found that the factors affecting the participation of people with disabilities in sports mainly include 2 dimensions:individual and social,as well as 15 specific factors.Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted on the 15 factors under the 2 dimensions.The results of the analysis showed that the construction of influencing factor dimensions represented good reliability and validity,indicating that the influencing factor dimen-sions established in this study were reliable and valid.The correlation coefficients of venue equipment and sports interest reached a significant level of greater than 0.9,while the correlation coefficient of education level(0.73)was the lowest,but it also reached the observation criterion of greater than 0.5.Therefore,the study focuses on examining 15 factors affecting the participation of persons with disabilities in sports,with a view to providing useful references for promoting the participation of persons with disabil-ities in sports.
