From Torch to Gene:Modernization of the Representation of the Centennial Revolutionary Spirit
The revolutionary spirit needs to be expressed through specific words,among which the symbolic words such as"torch"and"red flag"have played an important role in the inheritance of the revolutionary spirit.However,with the develop-ment of the era,the symbols can no longer adequately convey the Party's century-long innovation.Since the new era,our Party has mainly used the phrase"red genes"to represent the revolutionary spirit,achieving significant modernization transformations,namely a leap in thinking from visual intention to science-based abstraction,a progress in time from tradition to modernity,and a sublimation in space reflecting the Chinse spirit in the new era.The transformation in the representation of the century-long revo-lutionary spirit reveals the modernity of ideological representation discourse and the logic of innovation.
