There are many controversies among researchers on the writing time of Su Shi's Ci poems Rouged Lips?Leisurely Reclining on a Small Folding Bed and Congratulations to the Bridegroom?Swallows Flying over Ornate Houses.Through the investigation of Overview of the Regional Geography and other Song Dynasty documents,we can know that Rouged Lips was written in the seventh year of Yuanyou when Su Shi was the governor of Yangzhou,and was given to Chao Buzhi.And there are differences between the texts of this Ci poem in the Song and Yuan Dynasties and the current version.The Congratulations to the Bridegroom,however,has always lacked accurate evidence for its dating.According to Su Shi's life experi-ence and his writing habits of flower-themed Ci poems,it can be inferred that Congratulations to the Bridegroom should be writ-ten during his relegation in Huangzhou from the fourth to sixth year of Yuanfeng.
