Urban ruins exploration is a new type of tourism experience activity with modern urban ruins as the attraction,which challenges the traditional tourism concept and has unique charm.Based on the online travel notes and interview data of urban ruins exploration enthusiasts,this paper makes a grounded theoretical analysis,and establishes a perception model of urban ruins exploration experience.The research shows that the experience of exploring urban ruins can be divided into three stages:uneasy expectation,short time traveling and return to real life.The exploration of ruins consists of physical and psychological traveling,ruins aesthetics,emotional arousal,photographic records and other dimensions.Urban ruins exploration is a mysterious exploration practice in contradictory heterogeneous space under the condition of modernity and the support of network ecology.Its essence is a gray tourism featured by benign self masochism.
