From the bibliographic documents,there are many bibliographers who believe that Biyunxia is a fake work of Wei Tai,but their arguments are not convincing.The evidence Chao Gongwu learned from Mei Yaochen's descendants that this book was indeed Mei Yaochen's work is reliable.There is no contradiction between Mei Yaochen's thoughts and those embodied in Biyunxia.Initially,Mei Yaochen was on good terms with Fan Zhongyan,but later,due to not being promoted by the latter and seeing his friends demoted after the failure of the Qingli New Policies,he gradually developed resentment towards Fan Zhongyan.Furthermore,Mei Yaochen's poems Shu Chuan and Xuan Ma contain records of Wen Yanbo's affairs,and his attitude towards Wen is similar to that depicted in Bi Yun Xia.From the perspective of Wei Tai's Dongxuanbiji,there is no criticism of Mei Yaochen and the people involved in Biyunxia,and we cannot find Wei Tai's motive for forgery.Based on the above,there is no doubt that Mei Yaochen is the author of Biyunxia.
