Empirical Research and Policy Suggestions on the Implementation of Special Education Promotion Plan in China
The research team,in order to further understand the implementation status of the Special Education Promotion Plan,know the current situation of special education,and find out the problems and corresponding strategies for improvement,has compiled Special Education Status Investigation(School Volume)and Special Education Status Investigation(Teacher volume).The research team has distributed 1,445 teacher questionnaires and 113 school questionnaires to more than 20 provinces,municipalities,and autonomous regions nationwide,and conducted interviews with some special education principals.SPSS statistical tool has been used to sort out and analyze the survey data.It is found that the special education system in China still needs improvement,the capacity for special education support needs reinforcement,and the quality of special education still needs enhancement.To this end,it is recommended to enhance the connotation construct ion of special education schools,improve the special education system,focus on developing preschool and vocational education,strengthen assistive devices and rehabilitation services,improve the soft conditions for running schools,increase the treatment of special education workers,carry out pre-service training and in-service training for special education teachers as needed,classify teaching according to students'academic goals and types of disabilities,and improve the quality of education.
