Synergistically ferment fish scraps by two strains to prepare functional pet feed
In order to improve the utilization of organic waste in production,a new type of functional pet feed was explored,u-sing fish scraps as raw materials, exploring the optimal fermentation conditions through single-factor test and orthogonal test, and adding Hericium erinaceus mycelium and tomato pomace to make functional feed. The results showed that the optimal fer-mentation conditions were Bacillus subtilis∶Rhodotorula=2∶1,30%of fish leftovers,5%of bacteria reception(v/v),fer-mentation temperature of 30℃,and 2%dried Hericium erinaceus mycelium and 1%tomato pomace were added to the fermen-tation matrix. It could significantly increase the content of protein and amino acids in raw materials, the crude protein improve-ment rate was 73.71%,the total amino acid improvement rate was 24.97%,among which, the glutamic acid content increases the most obviously, the increase rate is 98.98%.The acute toxicological test of mice showed that there was no significant differ-ence between the control group and the experimental group(P>0.05),indicating that this feed could be applied to the produc-tion of functional pet feed. This study provided a theoretical basis for the fermentation process of fish scraps in the future, and provided a new direction for the development of pet feed.
