Research and application about limit of detection(LOD)and limit of quantification(LOQ)in feed detection
This study aims to expound the application of limit of detection(LOD)and limit of quantification(LOQ)in feed inspection and test.The representation patterns of LOD and LOQ have not been unified in all sorts of feed tests.Some tests have imposed restrictions on LOD and LOQ,but such preprocessing methods as sampling weight,metered volume,and dilution factor could all have an impact on the LOD and LOQ outcomes.Some tests have prescribed the minimum detectable concentration(such as ng/mL).When a test is put into practice,selection of proper detection method is based on correct representation of LOD and LOQ and understanding of their meanings.In this paper,we also studied the distinction between instrumental LOD and methodological LOD and how to determine those two indicators and use them to judge about the sensitivity of instrumental or methodological methods,in the hope to shed some light on the analytic work of inspectors.
