Optimization Measures for Rizhao Steel BF Operating with High-Alumina Iron Ore
The softening-melting performance of sinter charged to Rizhao Steel BF varies greatly,and slag melting tempera-ture and viscosity go up while the furnace is operating with high-alumina iron ore.Thus,some optimization measures are taken,which include:(1)optimizing the blending recipe of different types of ores,such as mixing sinter with lump ore and blending sintered lump ores of high and low alkalinity under bin to improve the softening-melting performance of the charges;(2)figuring out the appropriate thickness of ore layer on the basis of adopting thick coke layer,for example,reducing the ore layer thickness moderately and keeping the ore layer thickness of belly at about 0.35 m so as to improve the ore melting process and enhance the tolerance for fluctuated furnace condition;(3)increasing the magnesium content and decreasing the calcium content to optimize the slag phase with the binary basicity controlled at 1.25,MgO<15%and magnesium-alumi-num ratio kept at about 0.75 for ensuring the slag fluidity and stability.Thanks to the above measures,the furnace achieves smooth running,higher tolerance for fluctuated furnace condition,and long-term lower fuel consumption.
