Blow-on Operation of ZXHT Hydrogen-based Shaft Furnace
It is summarized the operation experience of hydrogen-based shaft furnace of HBIS ZXHT,which operates with COG as the reducing gas.Before blowing on,the preparation works focuses on ensuring stable supply of high-quality pellet,stepwise pressure test of the system for leakage detection and prevention,and setup of the designed water level and circulation in various towers.With the furnace ignited on May 10,2023,the key blow-on works are transferred to activating the COG compressor,heating furnace ignition,temperature increasing,material charging and discharging,supply of HP COG,con-nection of CO2 removal system and start of oxygen injection system;the other operations include enhancement of blasting and control of DRI chemical composition.From May 20 to May 21,the C content of DRI drops to about 3％,which satisfies the requirements of EAF steelmaking,and the DRI metallization rate increases to over 94％,which hits the designed target.
