Countermeasures for Changes of Coke Structure in a 2500m3 BF
Due to use of the outsourced coke,and replacement of wet quenched coke by the dry quenched coke,the coke structure in a 2500m3 BF changes greatly,and the furnace suffers higher pressure difference in the lumpy zone,weak central gas flow,unstable edge gas flow,deteriorated stability and uniformity of the furnace operating profile.These problems seri-ously affect the stable and smooth running of the furnace.By taking targeted measures such as adjusting the coke load,smoothening the central gas flow path and stabilizing the edge gas flow,strengthening the tapping management,stabilizing the furnace temperature and maintaining the appropriate composition of hot metal,the furnace operates normally,represented by proper central and edge gas flow,stable heat load at the belly and bosh,dynamically balanced skull and improved operating profile.The furnace registers rapidly recovered techno-economic indicators with coal rate reaching 164 kg/t,the coke rate falling to 358 kg/t,and the daily output rising to 7060t/d.
