Effect of V Content to Oxidation Performance of V& Ti-bearing Pig Iron under High Temperature
To study the effect law of different V contents on the oxidation performance of V & Ti-bearing pig iron under high temperature, the static additive weighing method is adopted to generate a curve of the specimen mass over time, and the oxi-dation performance of pig iron containing different V contents under 800℃ is studied by means of scanning electron microsco-py,energy spectroscopy and XRD.The results indicate:(1)the increase of oxidative weight of the V & Ti-bearing pig iron linearly relates with the time;addition of V content will increase the oxidation rate of the iron specimen;(2)with the in-crease of V content, the number of pores on the oxidized iron specimen surface increases, and after becoming larger, the pore tends to close;(3)high V content in the iron specimen will cause strong internal oxidation and promote the oxidation of Ti,when the mass fraction of V is higher than 0.3%,the main oxides in the oxidization layer are Fe2O3,V2O3 and a small a-mount of TiO2.The oxidation of hot metal solid enhances significantly also.
