Influence of Coke Quality Variation on BF Smelting under High Percentage of Pellets in Tangsteel New Area
Requirements of BF productionfor the coke quality is rigorous when furnaceis charged with high-percentage of pel-lets.It is studied the influence of coke quality on the coke rate and coal rate when three BFs of Tangsteel New Area operates under 35％-40％pellets from chemical composition,physical property and thermal properties of coke.The results indicate that the average particle size and CSR of coke correlate with coke ratenegatively,while the coke ash content and CRI correlate with coke rate positively;the coke CRI correlates negatively with the coal rate,but CSR correlates positively with coal rate.Under the current conditions of the raw materials,i.e.the coke ash content＜12.5％,the average particle size＞48mm,the M10＜6.0％,the CRI＜22.0％,and the CSR＞68.5％,the furnace can run smoothly and the coke rate can be kept＜310kg/t.
