Measures for Product Quality Improvement and Consumption Reduction in Shaft Furnace of ZXHT
In its early operation stage after startup,the hydrogen-based shaft furnace of ZXHT is challenged by its higher COG consumption,unstable metallization rate of DRI,higher carbon content,insufficient compressive strength,more powder generated during storage,transportation and use of DRI,and the DRI is easy to re-oxidize due to its loose structure and high porosity.The corresponding actions we made are represented by improving the quality of pellets,appropriately increasing the reduced gas inlet temperature to shaft furnace,reasonably controlling the composition of reduced circulating gas and adopting passivating storage.The efforts are rewarded with significant achievements in quality improvement and consumption reduc-tion.From May 2023 to February 2024,the consumption of COG of the hydrogen-based shaft furnace falls by 166m3/t,the ore ratio drops to 1 368kg/t,the DRI metallization rate increases by 0.59%,and the first-grade product rate rises greatly;moreover,the DRI carbon content keeps stable,the compressive strength exceeds 800N/pellet,the generation of deoxidized mud decreases by 6.1 kg/t,and the powder content declines by 2.43%.
