Design on 205/55R16 Low Noise Passenger Car Radial Tire
The design of 205/55R16 low noise passenger car radial tires was described.In the structural design,the following parameters were taken:overall diameter 629 mm,cross-sectional width 221 mm,width of running surface 170 mm,arc height of running surface 10.2 mm,bead diameter at rim seat 401.2 mm,bead width at rim seat 185.4 mm,maximum width position of cross-section(H1/H2)0.974,adopting symmetrical tread patterns,pattern depth 6.8 mm,block/total ratio 67.7%,number of pattern pitchs 72.In the construction design,the following processes were taken:solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber and highly dispersed silica for tread compound formula,2 layers of 3 × 0.3ST steel cord for belt,1 layer of 1440dtex/2 polyester dipped cord fabric for carcass,adopted one-stage building machine to build tires and hydraulic press to care tires.The performance test results of the finished tire showed that the inflation peripheral dimensions,strength performance,high-speed performance,durability and low-pressure durability met the design requirements,and the noise level reached the first-grade level.
