The design of 195/55R20 passenger car radial tire was introduced.In the structural design,the following parameters were taken:overall diameter 718 mm,cross-section width 208 mm,width of running surface 156 mm,arc height of running surface 8.57 mm,bead diameter at rim seat 511.5 mm,bead width at rim seat 172 mm,maximum width position of cross-section(H1/H2)1.0,using asymmetric variable pitch pattern design for tread,pattern depth 7.5 mm,block/total ratio 67%,and number of pattern pitches 68.In the construction design,the following processes were taken:the formula design using silica,silane coupling agent,and solution polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber for tread compound,two layers of 2+2×0.25HT steel cord fabric for belt,one layer of 1440dtex/2DSP polyester cord fabric for carcass,using one step building machine to build tire and B-type dual-mode hydraulic vulcanizing press to cure tire.The performance test results of the finished tire showed that the inflated peripheral dimension,strength performance,high-speed performance,and durability of the tire all met the requirements of corresponding design and national standards.
