Design of 12R22.5 Lightweight All-steel Truck and Bus Radial Tire
The design of 12R22.5 lightweight all-steel truck and bus radial tire was introduced.In the structural design,the following parameters were taken:overall diameter 1 074 mm,cross-section width 295 mm,width of running surface 218 mm,arc height of running surface 7 mm,bead diameter at rim seat 570.5 mm,bead width at rim seat 240 mm,maximum width position of cross-section(H1/H2)0.919,four tortuous main pattern grooves for tread with V-shaped opening structure at the groove bottom,pattern depth 13mm,block/total ratio 79.87%,and number of pattern pitches 67.In the construction design,the following processes were taken:two-formula and three-piece structure for tread,2+7×0.30ST steelcord for 1# and 2# belt,5×0.35HI steel cord for 3# belt,3×7×0.20HE steel cord for 0° belt,3×0.24/9×0.225CCHT steel cord for carcass,using one stage building machine to build tires and vulcanization press to cure tires.The performance test results of the finished tire showed that the inflated peripheral dimension,strength,and durability of the tire met the requirements of national standards,the high-speed performance and grounding mark distribution met the requirements of enterprise standards,and the mass was lower than that of the same specification products.
