Effect of Ratio of Tire Crown Arc Chord Length to Running Surface Width on Tire Performance
Taking 11.00R20 all-steel radial tire as the object, the effect of the ratio of tire crown arc chord length to running surface width on the tire performance was studied. The results showed that the ratio of tire crown arc chord length to running surface width affected the shape of the tire footprint and the maximum shear stress and maximum strain energy density of the tire shoulder, but had no obvious effect on the maximum shear stress and maximum strain energy density of the 1#-3# belts. The optimal ratio of tire crown arc chord length to running surface width should be between 55.5%and 55.9%.
