Study on Flat Spot Experiment of Passenger Car Radial Tire
The flat spot experiments of passenger car radial tires at different temperatures were studied. The results showed that the first and second harmonic components of radial wave force(RFV)and tangential wave force(TFV)of tires gradually decayed with time, and their attenuation characteristics followed power function relationships. In the distribution of the initial flat spot force harmonic, the proportion of the first harmonic was greater than that of the second harmonic, indicating that the flat spot characteristics of the tire had a significant impact on the first order radial and tangential harmonic characteristics of the tire uniformity. The flat spot harmonic attenuation of tires mainly occurred within the first 5 min.The temperature at which flat spots were generated and the temperature of the flat spot experiment environment had a significant impact on the attenuation rate of flat spot harmonic. The permanent deformation forces generated at different temperatures were different, indicating that temperature had an important impact on the generation and recovery of flat spots in tires.
