Effect of Functionalization of SSBR on Properties of Silica/SSBR Composite
The effect of functionalization modification of solution-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber(SSBR)on the properties of silica/SSBR composites was investigated. The results showed that compared with the SSBR compound without silane coupling agents, the Mooney viscosity and torque of the SSBR compound with silane coupling agents decreased,t5 was prolonged, and the t90 was shortened.Compared with the unmodified SSBR compound, the hardness and modulus at 10%elongation of the functionalized modified SSBR compound decreased, the modulus at 300%elongation and tensile strength increased, and the wear resistance was improved. The dispersibility of silica was improved, the Payne effect of the compound was weakened, the hysteresis loss and the rolling resistance were reduced, and the wet slip resistance was improved.
