Application of Resorcinol-Formaldehyde Adhesion System in Sidewall Compound of Off-The-Road Bias Tire
The application of a resorcinol-formaldehyde adhesion system in the sidewall compound of off-the-road bias tires was studied. The results showed that,by adding the resorcinol-formaldehyde adhesion system and appropriately increasing the sulfur content in the sidewall compound formula, the vulcanization characteristics of the compound changed little, and the crosslinking density increased. The modulus and tensile strength of the vulcanizate remained basically unchanged, while the tear strength, fatigue resistance, heat aging resistance and bending crack growth resistance were improved, the heat build-up was reduced, and the ozone aging resistance remained unchanged. The adhesion strength between the sidewall compound and the cord fabric was improved.
