Influence of Structural Parameters on Performance of Electric Vehicle Tire
The influence of structural parameters on the performance of electric vehicle tires was studied using the single variable method and the orthogonal experimental method. The results showed that, regardless of using the single variable method or orthogonal experimental method, the stiffness variation trend in the static characteristics of electric vehicle tires was the same as that in the handling stability. However, when changing the carcass cord longitudinal density and the apex height, the variation trends of the lateral stiffness and longitudinal slip stiffness of electric vehicle tires were different.Under the specified analysis conditions, the angle and width of the belt,as well as the method of laying the crown strip, had a greater impact on the grounding characteristics of electric vehicle tires. The belt angle and the apex height had a greater impact on the rolling resistance and the static stiffness of the tire. The belt angle and the belt cord longitudinal density had a greater impact on tire handling stability.
