Strategic Enhancement Strategies for the Lianyungang Area of the China(Jiangsu)Free Trade Zone——Lessons from the Hainan Free Trade Port
In the process of constructing China's distinctive free trade zones,the Hainan Free Trade Port has provided valuable insights and experiences for the development of other free trade zones in the country.After over three years of construction and reform,the Lianyungang area of the China(Jiangsu)Free Trade Zone has entered a"deep-water zone".Drawing inspiration from the experiences of the Hainan Free Trade Port is of significant importance for formulating strategic upgrades.Challenges faced by the Lianyungang area include unfinished planning tasks in project construction,the need for further improvement in the attainment of its three major functional positions,and the potential for greater exploitation of spillover effects.To expedite strategic enhancement,the Lianyungang area should adopt strategies similar to those of the Hainan Free Trade Port.This involves actively and prudently advancing,completing the tasks outlined in the area construction plan,reinforcing the three major functional positions to pioneer new frontiers in international openness,and accelerating regional integration to unleash new impetus for regional unity.
