A Study of User Acceptance of Mobile Language Learning Based on Automatic Speech Recognition Technology
Driven by the wave of technology-enabled language learning, there are numerous mobile learning resources for foreign languages, among which the more representative ones are foreign language learning platforms based on automatic speech recognition(ASR)technology, but there is little research on the user acceptance of speech recognition technology for foreign language learning.Based on the UTAUT2 model, the article proposes a user acceptance model for mobile foreign language learning based on ASR technology. It is found that Effort Expectation,Hedonic Motivation,Habit,Quality of Learning Materials and Openness all have a direct positive impact on Intention to Use,and Intention to Use and Habit have a direct positive impact on Use Behaviour. There is a significant difference between learners majoring in English and those majoring in non-English in terms of usage behaviour. On this basis, relevant strategies are proposed for the development and utilization of mobile foreign language learning resources based on ASR technology.
