On the Effects of Parental Support on Learning Engagement of Government-funded Normal University Students Based on Self-determination Theory
A questionnaire survey was conducted on government-funded normal university students in Jiangxi Province using parental social support scale and learning engagement scale,and the obtained data were analyzed.The correlation between parental support and learning engagement of government-funded normal university students and the influence path of parental support on learning engagement was explored from the perspective of self-determination theory.The results show that parental support has a positive predictive effect on learning engagement of government-funded normal university students.Among them,the positive value dimension of parental support can positively predict all factors of learning engagement.The instrumental support dimension of parental support can positively predict the contribution and concentration factor of learning engagement.Generally speaking,parents'support for government-funded normal university students plays an irreplaceable role in their learning and growth.
