Research on the Influencing Factors of the Digital Economy on Urban-rural Income Gap Based on Spatial Panel Regression
At present,China has entered a new stage of addressing relative poverty, with the main task of narrowing the income gap between urban and rural residents.Based on provincial panel data from 2013 to 2021,exploring the impact mechanism of the digital economy on the urban-rural income gap can help enrich theoretical research on the urban-rural income gap and provide suggestions for achieving common prosperity. The result shows that from the perspective of local spatial correlation, the development level of China's digital economy shows that the eastern coastal areas are superior to the central and western regions, while the urban-rural income gap shows that the central and western regions are lower than the eastern regions. From the perspective of spatial dependence and heterogeneity of urban-rural income gap, there is a positive spatial autocorrelation in the urban-rural income gap of each province, which shows a clustering type of high-high and low-low in space. From fitting results of Durbin model,it can be seen that different indicators of the digital economy have different effects on the urban-rural income gap. Therefore, coordinated development among various indicators is necessary to effectively narrow the urban-rural income gap.
