Analysis of Axial Compressive Properties of Compound Rectangular Concrete-filled Steel Tubular Medium and Long Columns
In order to study the axial compressive properties of the rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular medium and long column, based on the reasonable constitutive relationship between concrete and steel,a finite element model of the rectangular concrete-filled steel tubular medium and long column was established, the failure mode and force characteristics of the specimen studied, and the in-fluences of concrete strength, steel strength and inner steel pipe diameter on its ultimate bearing capacity were analyzed. The results show that the failure mode of the medium and long column of duplex rectangular concrete-filled steel tube mainly comes from the drum failure of the long side and the short side of the end,and the short-side failure precedes the long-side failure. The constraints of the rec-tangular steel pipe on the sandwich concrete mainly come from the corner and short side. When the specimen reaches the ultimate bear-ing capacity, the load borne by the sandwich concrete is greater than that of the core concrete. The ultimate bearing capacity of the compound rectangular concrete-filled steel tube column increases with the increase of concrete strength, steel strength and inner steel pipe diameter.
