A UWB Filter with Narrow Notched Band Based on Electromagnetic Bandgap Structures
A novel high-selectivity UWB band pass filter with notched bands based on the electromagnetic bandgap(EBG)structures is presented.UWB BPF is realized by using circular open stub loaded stepped-impedance stub resonator(SIR).The special structure of the resonator causes the filter to have five uniformly distributed resonant modes in the passband of 3.1-10.6 GHz,and produces two transmission zeros in the upper and lower bands.A pair of rectangular defect ground structures(DGS)are adopted to suppress the insert loss by adding port coupling strength. To shield the electromagnetic interference of the narrow-band around,A pair of circular EBG structure are implemented on both sides of the open stub to achieve the shielding band at 7.9-8.395 GHz.The passband is from 2.61-10.63 GHz Stopband Range is from 7.9-8.45 GHz.The insertion loss is only 0.8 dB.The simulated and measured results are identical.
