Exploration and Practice of Teaching Reform in Seismic Design for Structures
To address the challenges, like outdated course content, low student engagement, outdated formative assessment methods, and insufficient innovation in the Seismic Design for Structures course,a series of instructional reforms include course syllabus, lecture plans, teaching methodologies, and assessment techniques have been implemented.By analyzing the latest research findings on the seismic performance of ancient timber structures at home and abroad, the relevant seismic knowledge points suitable for course content were identified, thus the teaching syllabus for Seismic Design for Structures updated and enhanced. Finally, active exploration and practice were carried out in areas such as general education curriculum reform, teaching reform project approval, classroom formative assessment, and teaching methods.
